GROUPS/CLUBS


The-Heart is a group promoting the graphic representations of the heart, be it in its physical, romantic, spiritual, or emotive state. Non-graphic work (such as poetry) may be considered if it concerns the heart itself, but The-Heart is not primarily concerned with the promotion of love poetry.

The-Heart club is not your regular theme club. The volunteers and friends work hard at promoting that lovely little organ that keeps us alive. We not only involve our members in activities, but we also invite the dA Community at large to get involved by helping us collect heart theme deviations, or "Found Hearts"; and we also include non-members in our various features and weekly polls. If you are a lover of the heart and you enjoy including heart shapes in your deviations, this club is right for you!



The DeviantArt’s Society of Artists and Art Appreciators (SAA) is a society created to help artists—and appreciators—improve themselves, both as creators and as human beings. This is a society based on each individual’s desire to be better, or improve in any way possible, big or small. Because we have many members of many levels of experience and skill, we, first, hope that each member will be able to learn something. Second, we hope that artists who deserve more attention then they are receiving will be better appreciated through this Society. Thirdly, we hope that members will learn something about the world around them from the monthly articles published by Administrators and/or, hopefully, our Writers, which they otherwise would not have known.

This Society is open to anyone and everyone who is an artist—and by artist we mean all kinds: painter, drawer, writer, illustrator, photographer, and hopefully musicians (though we think this might be a little tricky)—and art appreciators—by appreciators we mean people who might not have much skill but still have a passion and love for the arts.

COMMUNITY PROJECTS


You must know the proverb that says "A picture is worth a thousand words". It is from that concept that "A word is worth a thousand pictures" is born (the short way: Word-worth-1000-pics)

*Word-worth-1000-pics is NOT a group or a club, so don't have any members. It is a community project meant for featuring deviant artists weekly, from a word.


HOW ?

1° A word is chosen for the week (only on D-day)
2° Searches/browsing from this word is done all week long
3° I select many deviations I think should be featured for some
reasons*, coming from the key-search's results.
